I’m Richard Braybrooke. I am an Accredited hypnotherapist, a qualified counsellor, an NLP practitioner and an experienced Life Coach. I help people deal with problems like anxiety, stress and depression, as well as helping people let go of habits like smoking and over-eating. I have been running my hypnotherapy practice in Bristol since 2000. I work from The Portland Therapy Centre near Fishponds and Staple Hill but I also offer Zoom sessions for people who prefer to work online.

My approach to therapy is quite simple. Whatever problems you have going on right now, you also have the solutions in your own mind. My role is to help you become aware of those solutions. And that’s where hypnotherapy comes in.

Hypnotherapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses hypnosis to help bring about positive changes to the way you think and feel.

Hypnosis itself is simply a state of focused awareness, a little like daydreaming. This relaxed state is extremely beneficial and is one in which we are most open to the benefits of visualisations and positive suggestion.

Positive visualisations and subtle suggestions can help you feel more relaxed and confident. They can hep you deal with past traumas as well as helping you achieve your goals.
